Pursuant to the requirements of Article IV, Section 4, of the Bylaws of Citizens Telephone Cooperative, Inc. is hereby giving notice that a director vacancy occurs in the New Auburn, Long Lake, and Canton Exchanges. Anyone meeting the following qualifications, including the incumbent director, is eligible to become a candidate for the vacant position.

Qualifications as stated in the bylaws

No person shall be eligible to become or remain a director or to hold any position of trust in the Cooperative who is not a member and a bona fide resident of the district that person represents in the area served or to be served by the Cooperative or who is in any way employed by or financially interested in a competing enterprise or a business engaged in selling communication services or communication supplies or maintaining communication facilities other than a business operating on a Cooperative non-profit basis for the purpose of furthering rural telephone service.  You may not be closely related to an incumbent Director or an employee of the Cooperative.  As used here, "closely related" means a person who is related to the principal person as spouse, child, grandparent, grandchild, parent, brother, or sister by blood or in law, of the principal.

Qualified individuals may declare their candidacy by submitting their name and contact information to the Citizens Telephone Cooperative, Inc. which will then be presented to the nominating committee for consideration or by obtaining in writing the signatures of any fifteen or more members of their district not less that thirty days prior to the annual meeting which will be held on June 12, 2024.  Ballots will be mailed to all members prior to the annual meeting for voting purposes.  Interested candidates may contact the business office if you have further questions regarding the position of director.
