IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) Technician

We are seeking a skilled and experienced IT Managed Service Provider (MSP) Technician to join our dynamic team. Responsibilities
- Client Support
- Provide proactive and reactive technical support to clients, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.
- Respond to service requests, incidents, and inquiries, and escalate when necessary to meet SLA commitments.
- Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and resolve issues on various IT systems.
- Network and Infrastructure Management
- Monitor and maintain client networks, servers, and infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
- Implement and manage security measures to safeguard client data and systems.
- Conduct regular system audits to identify and address vulnerabilities.
- Technical Consultation
- Collaborate with clients to understand their IT needs and provide expert advice on technology solutions.
- Assist in the planning, design, and implementation of IT projects, including upgrades and migrations.
- Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate documentation of client systems, configurations, and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on system performance, incident resolution, and other relevant metrics.
- Vendor Management
- Interface with third-party vendors to coordinate hardware and software procurement, as well as warranty support.
- Evaluate and recommend new technologies and solutions to enhance client IT environments.
- Training and Knowledge Sharing
- Provide training to end-users on IT best practices and use of systems.
- Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices, and share knowledge within the team.
Qualifications
- Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within an MSP environment.
- Strong proficiency in networking, system administration, and IT security.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or relevant vendor certifications (e.g., Microsoft, Cisco) are a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
